The OnePlus 8T was made official in global markets and China through dedicated launch events last month. At the Chinese launch, the company promised to bring a special version of the phone called OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition. As the name suggests, it’s based on the role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 that is scheduled to launch next month. Today, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition was officially announced in the homeland.
OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Specifications and Features
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition is no different from its regular version. The device comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Its other specs are same as the regular OnePlus 8T. OnePlus has released a couple of special edition phones in the based such as OnePlus 6 Marvel Avenger Edition, OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, and so on, but none of them offers a heavily customized OS like the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition.
After turning on, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition shows flickering neon light effects and there are neon-colored apps onboard. It shows an artificial eye scanning animation found in the game while fingerprint unlocking. While charging, it shows an animation that looks like a hacking process. And there is a Samurai logo on the screen as the live wallpaper.
The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition has two custom filter such as Night City and Norther California that can used while taking photos and recording videos. Both bring day and night effects similar to the day and night scenes in the game.
When it comes to design, the device’s rear design can be divided in three parts. The top part dubbed as panoramic window has the quad cameras at one end and gaming related branding like “Netrunner Edition” and “2077” on the other side. The middle part has a special snow AG glass and there is Cyberpunk branding placed in the carbon textured portion at the bottom. The special package of the phone features a custom phone case, a game-themed manual, and a randomly selected badge.
OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Pricing and Release Date
The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition costs 3,999 Yuan ($597). IN comparison, the regular 12 GB + 256 GB edition of the OnePlus 8T is priced at 3,699 Yuan ($552) in China. The pre-sales of the phone have started in China and it will be available for buying from Nov. 11. There is no word on the availability of the device outside of China.
