OnePlus 9 Pro real life images leaked in full glory

Past rumors had suggested that the upcoming OnePlus 9 series smartphones are likely to be announced during the first-quarter of the year, with the company expecting to launch at least two devices including the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

Despite being weeks away from its official unveiling, much information pertaining to the OnePlus 9 series had already made their way out to the social media platforms during the last couple of months.

OnePlus 9 Pro Leaked -1

In December last year, we’d seen the real life images of the vanilla OnePlus 9 courtesy of the folks over at PhoneArena. Now, YouTuber Dave2D took a step further by releasing a set of alleged live images of the OnePlus 9 Pro as well.

OnePlus 9 Pro Leaked -3

Design-wise, the images of the OnePlus 9 Pro largely corroborate earlier rumors and leaks. Upfront, the device dons a curved display that comes with a tiny hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner. The front display is able to support QHD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate based on the information portrayed in the images.

OnePlus 9 Pro Leaked -2

Over at the back, that’s where things get really interesting. As depicted in the images, the rectangular camera housing actually carries the Hasselblad branding which hints on a possible partnership between OnePlus and the Swedish photography giant in developing the next-generation’s camera system.

OnePlus 9 Pro Leaked -4

This isn’t really surprising given that OnePlus had previously revealed that the company had invested heavily in their smartphone cameras. However, it remains a mystery on how well the new partnership actually pans out on the new OnePlus 9 series devices and whether it will put them on par with other top dogs in the market including those from Samsung and Huawei.

Although we can expect an overall improvement from the OnePlus 9 series smartphones, but earlier reports had suggested that both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will not be arriving with a dedicated periscope camera – which is a feature that some of us are actually hoping to see.
