Realme Race Images Appear at TENAA

In December 2020, Realme revealed that its Snapdragon 888 mobile platform powered flagship is codenamed as “Race.” A leak by GSMArena that appeared in the same month revealed a couple of vital pieces of information about the Realme Race smartphone. The leak also revealed that the device’s model number is RMX2202. Today, the Realme RMX2202 appeared in the database of China’s TENAA certification platform. The listing has revealed the design of the smartphone.

As can be seen in the images that have surfaced at TENAA, the Realme Race smartphone has a punch-hole display. The rear side of the device has a rectangle-shaped camera module. It is unclear whether the camera housing has three or four cameras. Unfortunately, the listing has no information on the specs of the device. Also, the rear design of the phone completely differs from its leaked image that appeared in December.

It can be said based on the past reports that there could be a vanilla Race model and a higher model dubbed as Realme Race Pro. As it is known, “Race” is just a codename of the device and its final product name will be something else. Some reports have claimed that Realme could be launching these phones as its first Ace-series smartphones.

It was revealed in December that the Realme RMX2202 has Snapdragon 888 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. The phone was found to be running on Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS.

Leaked information that appeared in January revealed that the Realme Race Pro could be coming with specs like a 6.81-inch OLED 3K screen with a 160Hz refresh rate, 12 GB of LPPDR5 RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 125W rapid charging support. It may come with a 64-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera system. The Realme Race series is expected to break cover after the Chinese New Year which falls on Feb. 12.
