Although there were talks about the OnePlus Ace 2, the company only unveiled the OnePlus 11 flagship phone at the recently held launch event in China. In an interview with the media after the OP11 launch event, OnePlus China President Li Jie shared the company’s plan for the year.
Li Jie said that OnePlus will mainly focus on the 2000 Yuan ($290) to 5000 Yuan ($720) price range in the home market. He said that the company will adhere to the strategy of launching high-quality products and won’t release a large number of devices just for the sake of it.
Jie said that the goal of the company is to make sure that each product can be as good as the OnePlus 11. Hence, it will aim to launch top-notch products in each price segment. The price range that the company is now focusing on suggests that it may maintain two product lines as far as smartphones are concerned. The numbered series will include flagship models, whereas the Ace series will have devices with lower price points.
OnePlus is not releasing the Nord-branded phones in China yet. In fact, its Ace-branded products are launched with different names in the global market. It is likely that the OnePlus Ace 2 will be the next OnePlus phone for the Chinese market. Speculations are rife that the Ace 2 will be released in the global market with the OnePlus 11R moniker.
Reports have revealed that the OnePlus 11R may arrive with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen, a 16-megapixel front camera, and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered device may arrive with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging support.
