OPPO unveiled the Reno 9 series of smartphones in November 2022 in China. Rumors are rife that the Chinese manufacturer may announce the Reno 9 lineup by late Q1 2023. It appears that the company has some more Reno 8-branded phones to launch before the release of the Reno 9 lineup in the global market. Reports have claimed that the company may unveil the Reno 8T 4G and the Reno 8T 5G in the coming weeks globally.
Recent reports have revealed that the upcoming Reno 8T has the CPH2481 model number. The same device has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site.
As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Reno 8T has appeared with a MediaTek chip in Geekbench’s database. The CPU and GPU details that are mentioned in the source code of the listing revealed that it is powered by the Helio G88 chipset.
The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM, and the device runs on Android 13 OS. In the single-core test, it scored 554 points, and it recorded 1873 points in the multi-core test.
The Reno 8T reports have revealed that it has been certified by multiple certification sites, such as TDRA, Bluetooth SIG, Elements Materials Technology (EMT), TKDN (Indonesia), SIRIM (Malaysia), BIS (India), and EEC (Europe). Based on these certifications, we know that the device will run on ColorOS 13, connect via Bluetooth 5.3, and offer 33W fast charging.
The above-mentioned specifications reveal that the Reno 8T will be a mid-range device. In related news, the IMDA (Singapore), TKDN (Indonesia), BIS (India), and EEC (Europe) have all approved the Reno 8T 5G with model number CPH2505. Unfortunately, none of these listings has revealed its key specifications.
