OnePlus Ace debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max, 50MP triple cameras & 150W fast-charging

OnePlus might had recently just announced the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G smartphone in the global market, but that wouldn’t stops the company from launching another high-end model dubbed as the OnePlus Ace in it’s domestic market.

Those following the news would probably know that this is in fact the same device which will be launching in the Indian market on April 28th under the OnePlus 10R branding. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new OnePlus Ace has in store for us!

OnePlus Ace Black

Starting off with the front side of the phone, the new OnePlus Ace features a 6.7” centered hole-punch display which adopts a high-end AMOLED panel that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera as well.

The back of the phone features a dual-tone design with a rectangular camera slab on the upper-left corner of the phone which houses a triple-camera array comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera (with OIS support), 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up photography.

Under the hood, the new OnePlus Ace is powered by a custom MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset which will be paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB built-in storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s lights on, the device is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 150W fast-charging support. Interestingly, OnePlus has also launched another model with a larger 5,000mAh battery capacity, but a slower charging speed of 80W.

Software-wise, the OnePlus Ace is shipped with ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 OS right off the box. Those who’re interested can pick the phone in two different colorways such as Blue and Black.

In the Chinese market, the OnePlus Ace is priced starting at 2,499 Yuan (US$388) for it’s 8GB+128GB model, and goes all the way up to 3,499 Yuan (US$543) for it’s top-of-the-line model with 12GB+512GB configuration.
