Xiaomi CIVI 1S debuts with Snapdragon 778G+, 64MP triple cameras & 55W fast-charging

Following the success of last year’s Xiaomi CIVI smartphone, Xiaomi is now back with a brand new Xiaomi CIVI 1S in the Chinese market that comes with an upgraded set of specs sheet even though it’s design remains largely unchanged from last year’s model.

Right off the bat, the new Xiaomi CIVI 1S sports a  6.55” OLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, HDR10 support, as well as a 32 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls.

At the back, the phone features a slim camera module for it’s triple-cam setup which comprises of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up shots.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G+ chipset which features a slight performance boost over last year’s Snapdragon 778G platform. This will be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery that carries support for a blazing-fast 55W wired charging solution. On the software side of things, the device is shipped with MIUI 13 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S is priced starting at 2,299 Yuan (US$355) for it’s 8GB+128GB base model, and goes up to 2,899 Yuan (US$450) for it’s top-of-the-line model with 12GB+256GB configuration.
