Although OnePlus had promised the users of OnePlus X that the device will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the device has yet to receive any update until today when it finally received one – though its still not the Marshmallow update which we have been waiting for.
A new OTA update has been rolled out to OnePlus X users which will bring the device’s Oxygen UI up to version 2.2.2. If you’ve yet to receive the update notification, fret not its just a matter of time before you receive it. Similarly, you can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About phone > System update > Check for update. Since this update comes with an hefty file size of around 325MB, do make sure you are connected to the WiFi before you begin updating your device.
