OPPO Reno5 F officially announced in Kenya

After launching the OPPO Reno5 series smartphones in December last year, the Chinese smartphone maker is now expanding its Reno5 series lineup with the all-new OPPO Reno5 F smartphone which had made its official debut in Kenya.

This device features the same hole-punch design upfront for its 6.4-inches AMOLED display which we believe has a FHD+ screen resolution. Like any of the Reno5 series smartphones, it comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

Around the back of the Reno5 F, it sports a redesigned rectangular camera housing which looks strikingly different from the rest of the Reno5 series smartphones. Its quad-camera setup is lead by a 48 megapixels primary shooter instead of the 64 megapixels shooter found in both the Reno5 and Reno5 Pro (Review).

As for the other three cameras, they remain unchanged. Therefore, you can expect to see the same 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels monochrome sensor.

Interestingly, OPPO has yet to reveal its underlying chipset at the moment, so it remains a mystery for the time being. Nonetheless, we do know that it’ll be coming with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep its lights on, the OPPO Reno5 F is fitted with a respectable 4,310mAh battery with 30W SuperVOOC flash charging support. The device will be shipped with the latest ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 OS.

For those who’re interested, the device is offered in two color options namely Fluid Black and Fantastic Purple. In the Kenyan market, the OPPO Reno5 F is priced at KSH31,999 (US$293).
