Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+ Debuts with Topnotch Cameras, Light Shift Design

Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ mid-range phones have debuted in India. Both phones are equipped with some exciting features such as the Light Shift Design, which allows these devices to change the color of their rear panel from blue to pinkish-red under sunlight or UV light. While the 9 Pro offers a 64-megapixel triple camera setup, the 9 Pro+ is equipped with an OIS-ready flagship-grade camera. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and pricing of the Realme 9 Pro series.

Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+ Specifications and Features

The Realme 9 Pro has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 120Hz display and it is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset. It comes with 33W fast charging support for its 5,000mAh battery. The front side of the phone features a 16-megapixel selfie camera, whereas its back panel has a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Realme 9 Pro+ features a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ 90Hz screen. It is fueled by the Dimensity 920 chipset and a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 60W fast charging. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front camera, and its rear camera module has an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, which is available on some flagship phones. It is coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Realme 9 Pro series offers common features such as LPPDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, 5 GB of virtual RAM, Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 UI, 5G support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The non-Pro model has a single speaker, while the Pro+ gets dual stereo speakers and an additional feature of a heart rate sensor, which can be accessed through its in-display fingerprint scanner.

Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+ Pricing and Availability

The Realme 9 Pro has arrived in two models such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for Rs 17,999 ($240) and Rs 20,999 ($280). On the other side, the Realme 9 Pro Plus has arrived in options like 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at Rs 24,999 ($333), Rs 26,999 ($360), and Rs 29,999 ($400), respectively.

Both phones come in Sunrise Blue (with Light Shift feature), Aurora Green, and Midnight Black. Both phones will be sold through Flipkart and Realme India’s official website. The first sale of the Realme 9 Pro will be held at 12 pm (local time) on Feb. 23 in India, whereas the Realme 9 Pro Plus’ first sale will be carried out at 12 pm (local time) on Feb. 21.
