The Realme 9i renders had revealed it will be equipped with a punch-hole display. Chun claimed that the smartphone will feature an LCD panel that carries support for a 90Hz refresh rate. It appears to be a bit of a downgrade since the Realme 8i’s 6.6-inch LCD FHD+ screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Realme 8i is the company’s first phone to feature a triple camera unit. The renders of the successor model have revealed that it will be sporting a triple camera unit. Chun added that the 9i will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera. At present, there is no information available on the auxiliary cameras and the other specs of the device.

Rumors have it that the Realme 9 will hold a global launch event in January 2022 to announce the Realme 9i. As far as India is concerned, the company is speculated to unveil two or three Realme 9 series of smartphones by the end of January and the remaining models are likely to go official in February. The lineup is likely to include four smartphones such as Realme 9, Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9 Pro+.
