Realme Narzo 50A Prime goes official with Unisoc T612, 50MP triple cameras & 18W fast-charging

After launching the Realme Narzo 50A smartphone back in September last year, Realme is now back with a new variant known as the Realme Narzo 50A Prime which comes with a new design as well as a different chipset from the former.

Starting with the front side of the phone, the new Narzo 50A Prime features a 6.6” LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a modest refresh rate. Considering that the Narzo 50 only has a HD+ resolution, this is in fact a pretty decent upgrade. Also, let’s not forget there’s also an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for handling selfies and video calls.

Over at the back, the Narzo 50A Prime comes with a dual-tone design and has a square-shaped camera module which houses a triple-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a B&W sensor.

Unlike the Realme Narzo 50A which was powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, the Narzo 50A Prime swaps for an Unisoc T612 chipset instead. This will be coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that’s further expandable via a microSD card.

Keeping it’s lights on is none other than a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. As an entry-level smartphone, the Realme Narzo 50A Prime is expectedly shipped with Realme UI R Edition based on Android 11 OS right off the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone in both Flash Blue and Flash Black colorways, and will be priced at INR11,499 (US$150) and INR12,499 (US$163) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
