Samsung Galaxy Jump2 debuts with 120Hz Refresh rate & 50MP quad cameras

Samsung has officially announced a new mid-range model in the South Korean market known as the Galaxy Jump2 which will be succeeding last year’s Galaxy Jump. Despite it’s new moniker, the device is essentially a rebranded model of the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G that was launched at the beginning of the month.

For starter, the new Samsung Galaxy Jump2 builds around a 6.6” TFT LCD display which offers a decent FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also has an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfies and video calls.

Over on the rear side, the phone features a square-shaped camera module which is home to a total of four cameras comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Although the company only reveals that the device has an octa-core chipset which clocks at 2.4GHz, it appears that the processor is likely to be the Exynos 1280 chipset which was found in the Galaxy M33 5G. This will be coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s lights on, the Galaxy Jump2 is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 25W fast-charging. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Galaxy Jump2 is available in a trio of colors such as Blue, Green and White. It’ll be priced at 419,100 KRW (US$334) for it’s 6GB+128GB trim in the South Korean market.
