Update: Realme X50 5G will be officially announced in China on January 7th.
Original story:
In their latest Weibo post, Realme has hinted that the company may finally be unveiling the lunch date of their highly-anticipated Realme X50 tomorrow.
The post was short, but lucid. It carries a hash tag #RealmeX50, followed by a promo poster which read “To be revealed tomorrow”.
Keeping in mind that the Realme X50 is the company’s first 5G snsmartphone, it wouldn’t be launched without a glamorous, high-profile media event. Therefore, it is more likely for the company to reveal it’s launch date rather than announcing the device silently tomorrow.
According to reports, the Realme X50 is expected to be announced before January 25th next year. The device will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 765G SoC which was also found in Redmi K30 and the upcoming Oppo Reno3 Pro. The Snapdragon 765G comes with an integrated 5G modem which is capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
Previously, we’d also learned that the Realme X50 will be capable of supporting concurrent 5G and Wi-Fi connection – something similar to the Dual Wi-Fi mode which saw on the Oppo Reno2.
Besides that, the device will also features an enhanced VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology which is capable of fueling the device from 0 to 70% within a short span of 30 minutes. Under the hood, there will also be a so-called five-dimensional ice-cooled heat dissipation system which helps to prevent overheating even under intense gaming conditions.
As for the design, the Realme X50 has been confirmed to sport a pill-shaped, hole punched display that shows a close resemblance to that of the Honor V30 and Huawei Nova 6. The rear design however, remains a mystery for the time being.
