Realme X50 will support concurrent 5G/ Wi-Fi connection & features a dedicated cooling system

Realme is all set to announce their first-ever 5G smartphone, known as the Realme X50 5G, before January 25th next year. Recent reports point out that the device might very well be made official on January 5th according to the hint dropped by Realme’s CMO Xu Qi.

Today, the company has revealed a couple of new information on this highly-anticipated smartphone in terms of it’s connectivity. According to them, the Realme X50 will be able to support concurrent 5G and Wi-Fi connections to boost it’s network stability and download speed.

Realme X50 Dual-connection

This is something pretty similar to the Dual Wi-Fi feature which we first saw on the OPPO Reno2. In fact, the same Dual Wi-Fi feature will also be available on the Realme X50 which allows it to connect to both a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz Wi-Fi network simultaneously.

Therefore, in the event that the device detects a poor connection on the current network, it will automatically enables the alternate network without any interruption. Similarly, this dual-connection mode will also help to accelerate download speed as it is able to receive and send data independently.

Realme X50 Cooling System

Besides that, the Realme X50 has also been confirmed to feature a dedicated cooling system which the company calls five-dimensional ice-cooled heat dissipation system. This complex system is said to cover 100% of the heat-generating areas within the smartphone.

Of course, the Realme X50 isn’t the only mid-ranger smartphone that comes with a dedicated cooling system under the hood. The Redmi Note 8 Pro also has such a system even though they were traditionally limited to just gaming or flagship devices.

Previously, we’d already learned that the Realme X50 will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 765G SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.

Design-wise, it will be featuring a pill-shaped, hole punched display that looks pretty similar to that of the Honor V30 and Huawei Nova 6. Speaking of that, it is also rumored to come with an impressive screen refresh rates of 90Hz or 120Hz for it’s front display.
