Xiaomi is rumored to be working on the launch of Redmi 5A. The alleged smartphone has been recently spotted on TENAA. The rumor mill has now revealed the launch date and pricing of the alleged phone.
The TENAA listing of the phone has revealed that it features a 5-inch display that supports HD resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. The device measures 8.35mm in thickness and its weight is 137 grams. It is expected to be available in multiple colors such as black, white, silver, gray, rose gold, gold, blue, red and pink. There is no confirmation whether these color options will be readily at the launch of the phone.
The Snapdragon 425 SoC is expected to power the smartphone. It is expected to feature a rear camera of 8-megapixel and a selfie snapper of 5-megapixel. The handset will come loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat and is expected to house a 3,000mAh battery.
As far as design of the Redmi 5A is concerned, it is will be wearing a metallic body and it won’t be featuring a fingerprint reader. It will be also featuring an IR blaster.
The 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage model of the Redmi 5A is expected to be priced at 599 Yuan. The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage model is pegged to cost 699 Yuan. It is likely to launch on Oct. 20.
