Redmi 8A China Launch Nearing as Lu Weibing Begins Teasing it

On Sept. 25, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi 8A smartphone in India. It appears that the company is now gearing up to launch the Redmi 8A smartphone in China as Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has started teasing on its arrival. He has revealed that China will be receiving a new phone with a 5,000mAh battery which refers to the Redmi 8A.

Apart from the one shown above, Weibing recent posts states that it will be entry-level smartphone with attractive features such as big screen, large battery life, large memory, beautiful and thin design, USB-C slot and more. It is likely that Redmi will soon confirm the launch date of Redmi 8A for China in the coming days. Rumors are rife that the handset will be accompanied by Redmi 8 and Redmi 8 Pro smartphones.

Redmi 8A Specifications

The Redmi 8A has a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch and HD+ resolution support. It is powered by Snapdragon 439 chipset and it runs on MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS. It has a Sony IMX363 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and it has a front camera of 8-megapixel. The 5,000mAh battery of the phone supports 18W fast charging. The Redmi 8A variants such as 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 2 GB RAM + 32 GB storage are respectively priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 6,499 in India.
