Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C to Debut on June 30 in Malaysia

Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 9 smartphone in multiple markets like Spain, Malaysia, and China. The early leaks of the Redmi 9 series had revealed that it includes two more phones such as Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. While the rumor mill revealed the specs of these phones, there was no official confirmation on their existence. However, the key specs of the Redmi 9A had recently appeared on the website Xiaomi Philippines. Today, Xiaomi Malaysia confirmed through its Facebook page that the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C phones will debut on June 30.

The official poster only reveals that the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will be arriving with a big battery and a big display. The poster also suggests that the Redmi 9A and 9C could be having a waterdrop notch on their displays.

Past reports have revealed that the Redmi 9A and 9C will be arriving with IPS LCD panels of 6.53 inches with HD+ resolution support. Both phones are expected to house 5,000mAh batteries. The Redmi 9C is said to exist in NFC and non-NFC versions. It is unclear whether Malaysia will be receiving both variants of the Redmi 9C.

The Redmi 9A could be powered by Helio G25 SoC whereas the Redmi 9C could be equipped with Helio G35 that fuels the Realme C11 phone. The Redmi 9A is expected to come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Redmi 9C is likely to arrive with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

The Redmi 9 is said to have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front camera of 5-megapixel. The Redmi 9C NFC edition is likely to feature a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup on its back. Its non-NFC version may have a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera. Both variants will have 5-megapixel front cameras.
