Redmi, iQOO tipped to launch 7,500mAh battery phones in Q2 this year

Realme unveiled the Realme Neo 7, packed with a behemoth 7,000mAh battery, in December 2024 in China. Speculations are rife that smartphone brands in China will launch phones with even bigger 7,500mAh batteries this year. A recent leak by tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the first phones with 7,500mAh batteries will debut in the second quarter of this year.

Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, iQOO Z10 Turbo may pack 7,500mAh batteries

According to the tipster, two brands will launch 7,500mAh battery phones. The hashtags included in the Weibo post suggest that one of them could be the iQOO Z10 Turbo series phone. The other one appears to be the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which, according to previous leaks, may pack a 7,500mAh battery.

As per reports, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and the iQOO Z10 Turbo are expected to feature a 1.5K OLED panel with a flat design. The two phones are also expected to feature the forthcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite, which is expected to launch in April.

Both smartphones may feature a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. Apart from housing massive batteries, the two devices are also said to support 90W fast charging.

Rumors suggest that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will be rebranded as the Poco F7 in markets outside of China. There’s a possibility that the F7 may pack a smaller battery than the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. At present, there is no clarity on whether iQOO has any plans to release the Z10 Turbo in markets outside of China.
