Recent reports have revealed that the Redmi K50 lineup includes four models such as Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and K50 Gaming Edition. Fresh information reveals that there could be a Redmi K50 Exclusive Edition, which will be only meant for the Chinese market.
The Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and K50 Gaming Edition models are rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 8000, Dimensity 9000, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. Leaked information on the Redmi K50 Exclusive Edition driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be made available in China.
It is speculated that the mysterious device will be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies, the device will be equipped with a 16-megapixel camera for capturing selfies.
The rear camera system of the device may feature a 64-megapixel primary camera, which will be accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It will be backed a by 4,700mAh battery that supports 120W HyperCharge technology.
The device is expected to arrive with dual vapor cooling chamber for better heat dissipation. The handset will be equipped with other features such as 512 GB of built-in storage, dual speakers by JBL and an AAC 1016 ultrawide-band x-axis motor.
The Redmi K50 series is scheduled to launch this month in China. Redmi executives like Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing are now using K50 series smartphone to post messages on Weibo. As can be seen in the above image, Weibing confirmed that the Dimensity 9000 powered K50 model will be debuting after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant. This indicates that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition may launch before the Redmi K50 Pro+.
