Redmi next flagship phone will not be called Redmi X

Although we have heard many rumors that the upcoming Redmi flagship will be dubbed as the Redmi X, but according to a latest Weibo post by Redmi’s GM Lu WeiBing, that doesn’t seems to be the case.

In his post, Lu not only refuted the rumors, he also revealed that the upcoming Redmi flagship will be carrying a better name than just simply Redmi X. As of now, there is still little clue on what the actual name will be, but at least it will definitely not be Redmi X.

According to earlier reports out of China, this upcoming Redmi flagship is expected to be an absolute powerhouse which is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC. It is also expected to arrive with a triple-camera module on its back, as well as a pop-up selfie camera.
