Samsung Galaxy A51 5G with Exynos 980 Could be Arriving Soon

In December, Samsung had launched the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 smartphones in Vietnam. The same phones are in the process of arriving in other markets. A recent report had revealed that the South Korean company will be launching a 5G version of the Galaxy A51 in the home market. Rumors surrounding had claimed that it could be equipped with Exynos 980 chipset. Today, the alleged phone appeared on Geekbench through it has been found that it could be indeed arriving with Exynos 980 chipset.

The Exynos 980 SoC is the 5G-ready chipset designed to power mid-range devices. While Samsung is yet to launch a smartphone with the new SoC, the Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro 5G smartphone that went official in December in China were the first phones to feature it. The SM-A516N which is the model number of alleged Galaxy A51 5G phone.

The Exynos 980 chipset with 1.79GHz clocking speed fuels the Galaxy A51 5G smartphone. The phone is loaded with Android 10 OS. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. In the single-core test, it scored 679 and it has recorded a score of 1848. It is speculated to arrive with an internal storage of 128 GB. The rurmor mill is yet to reveal other details of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Specifications

The Galaxy A51 is equipped with a 6.5-inch display. The S-AMOLED screen with Infinity-O notch design supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen of the device is integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The Exynos 9611 powers the phone with 6 GB of RAM.

The Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the device with One UI 2.0. The back panel of the phone has a 48-megapixel quad camera setup. It includes other sensors such as 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel dedicated macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It houses a 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
