Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup in January 2026. While there’s no clarity on whether the lineup will include the Galaxy S26 Plus, it is said to include the Galaxy S26, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra. The rumour mill has been leaking details about the S26 series in bits and pieces. A new Weibo post by tipster Ice Universe mentions all that is known about the Ultra edition.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra specifications (rumored)

According to the tipster, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a thickness of around 7.x mm. Despite a slightly increased height and width, the device is expected to be lighter by a few grams compared to its predecessor. On the display front, it will likely feature a large 6.9-inch screen that adopts CoE (Color on Encapsulation) technology by removing the polarizer, along with third-generation anti-reflective glass for improved outdoor visibility and reduced glare.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy chipset, which is rumoured to include a 4.74GHz CPU and a 1300MHz GPU. The phone is said to ship with One UI 8.5 out of the box based on Android 16. A recent report claimed that the device will come with built-in support for Perplexity AI.
In the camera department, the device may pack Samsung’s 2026 version of the 200-megapixel HP2 sensor as its main shooter, paired with a new ultra-large aperture system. It’s also tipped to include a new 3x zoom sensor and an upgraded 5x zoom camera with a wider aperture for better low-light imaging.
Battery-wise, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain a 5,000mAh battery that the brand has been offering since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which launched in 2020. However, there will be a notable upgrade in the charging department as it is said to support 60W rapid charging.
