Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date Finally Revealed

There are indications that Samsung Galaxy S8 is ready for release in the next couple of months. We have had quite a number of leaks about the Galaxy S8 which Samsung hopes will help it reclaim the confidence of its fans and non-fans alike, even though images of the device has been a closely kept secret by Samsung. The latest leak is that the Galaxy S8 flagship would be showcased in a quiet ceremony at MWC 2017, thereafter the device would hit the market in April.

The leaked information emanated from Twitter , posted by tipster @Ricciolo who specifically hinted that the device will be showcased on March 29 before a small select crowd, reeling out info said to have been gathered from an inside source. The tipster also revealed that the flagship device will be available in the 17th week of this year which falls around April 24th to April 30th. The Galaxy S8 is also said to come with a price tag of around $849.

Earlier rumors had tipped the to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, with a 1440 x 2560 resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is also expected with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. On the camera end, there is said to be a 12MP camera at the rear, with an 8MP front-facing snapper. In addition, there could be a top-end, premium model with a larger 6.2-inch display called the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus in the mix as well. Both versions are expected with curved dual-edge display screen, ultra-narrow bezels, with no hysical home button at the front. The device is expected to have an underglass fingerprint scanner similar to that on the Xiaomi Mi 5S.
