Samsung is reportedly working on its first tri-foldable phone. Rumours surrounding it claim that the device will debut this year. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Panda Flash X, has revealed key details about the device.
Samsung Galaxy tri-foldable phone’s key specifications

As per the source, the Galaxy tri-foldable phone will not feature an under-display camera like the existing Galaxy Z Fold series. The device will offer better durability thanks to the inclusion of a sturdy frame built from both titanium and aluminium.
The leak further states that the device will only feature the Snapdragon chip, indicating there will not be any Exynos version. The chip will be paired with 16GB of RAM.
Since it is a first-generation product, it may launch in limited markets. To recall, a Samsung device with model number SM-F9680 was recently approved by China’s 3C certification platform. The device was spotted with a 25W charger. It is believed to be the upcoming tri-foldable phone.
In related news, Huawei is said to be working on its second-generation tri-foldable phone, a successor to last year’s Huawei Mate XT. Speculations suggest that the Mate XT 2 will debut in September in China. Rumors indicate that the Mate XT 2 will feature ultra-flexible glass (UFS) for enhanced screen durability and satellite connectivity support.
To recall, the Mate XT from last year features a large 10.2-inch display, a Kirin chipset, and a 5,600mAh battery with 66W charging. The device also includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 12-megapixel (periscope) triple-camera setup.
