Past reports have revealed plenty of information on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip clamshell phone. It is poised to go official along with the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra smartphones on Feb. 11. Max Weinbach from XDA Developers had previously shared some vital information on the upcoming Samsung flagship phones as well as the Galaxy Z Flip. Today, he shared more details on the upcoming flip phone from the South Korean company.
Weinbach has revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform. Previous leaks had claimed that it could be equipped with SD855 chip. The Galaxy Z Flip will be equipped with Samsung ultra-thin glass cover over its Dynamic AMOLED display. It is said that the AMOLED screen can develop creases while folding and unfolding.
The Galaxy Z Flip may come with a 6.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The phone could be arriving with a dual camera setup on its rear. It includes a main 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter. Alongside the dual rear cameras is a secondary display of 1 inch. It can be used as viewfinder for taking selfies with rear cameras, battery status and charging information. The handset is expected to support of wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Past reports have revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip will be arriving with a front camera of 10-megapixel. The phone will be preloaded with Android 10 OS along with One UI 2.0 skin. The device could be housing a 3,300mAh battery that supports 15W rapid charging. The device could be priced around 1,400 euros in the European markets.
