Save the Date: Vivo S16 Series is Launching on December 22

Several reports have claimed that the Vivo S16 series will be announced this month in China. Today, the company confirmed through its Weibo handle that the Vivo S16 series will be unveiled at 7:00 pm (local time) on Dec. 16 in the home market. The company is expected to announce three phones: the Vivo S16, the Vivo S16 Pro, and the Vivo S16e.

Vivo is yet to confirm the key specifications of the Vivo S16 series. However, a new report by 91mobiles has leaked the entire specs of the Vivo S16e and S16. According to the publication, the S16e will have a 6.62-inch AMOLED display, whereas the S16 will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen. Both phones will support a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. These devices will come preloaded with Android 13 OS and OriginOS 3.

The Vivo S16e will be powered by the Exynos 1080 chip, while the S16 will feature the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Both phones will come with up to 12 GB of RAM. The S16e will offer up to 256 GB of internal storage, while the S16 will be equipped with up to 512 GB of storage. Both smartphones will pack a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. For security, the S16e and S16 will have an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Vivo S16e will be fitted with a 16-megapixel front camera. A 50-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit will be mounted on its back.

The Vivo S16 will arrive with a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear-facing triple camera unit will have a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Previous reports have revealed that the Vivo S16 will have a 120Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8200 chipset, the Vivo V1+ chip, and 80W fast charging.
