The Xring X01 will be the company’s second attempt at building chipsets for smartphones. The upcoming chip will be built with a 3nm manufacturing process and is designed to power flagship devices.
The chipset includes two cores working at 3.90GHz, four cores operating at 3.4GHz, two cores working at 1.89GHz, and two cores running at 1.8GHz. For graphics, it includes the Immortalis-G925 GPU. The Geekbench appearance of the chip revealed that its performance is close to the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite.
According to Xiaomi, it has committed to a 10-year investment plan, with funding of at least 50 billion Yuan ($6.9 billion). Additionally, the brand has already invested over 13.5 billion Yuan ($1.95 billion).
The Xiaomi 15s Pro will be the first smartphone to feature the Xring 01 chip. The brand is yet to confirm the design and key specifications of the device. However, it is likely to be an incremental upgrade over the existing Xiaomi 15 Pro. The Pad 7 Ultra is expected to feature a 14-inch OLED LTPO screen that offers a 3.2K resolution, and it may feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. As far as the Xiaomi YU7 is concerned, it will debut as the company’s first SUV car.
