Tecno Camon 18 Premier is now available in a new Ceramic Edition model

Following the launch of the Tecno Camon 18 Premier back in October last year, Tecno Mobile has now announced a new variant of the phone dubbed as the Tecno Camon 18 Premier Ceramic Edition. This model, as you can probably tell from the name itself, features a ceramic back instead of a glass back that’s found on the regular models.

”A ceramic phone also means you will not have to live with the stains that you typically get on glass and metal casings, so it will look polished and clean all the time. In addition, the bonding of atoms is stronger in ceramic than metaceramic, making the design sleek and flat, yet sturdy” said the company.

Apart from the cosmetic differences, the Tecno Camon 18 Premier Ceramic Edition shares identical specs as the regular models. Starting with the front, the Tecno Camon 18 Premier arrives with a 6.7” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, super smooth 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a 550 nits peak brightness. On top of that, it also has a pretty capable 32 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes.

On the rear side of the phone, it sports a rectangular-shaped camera island which is home to a triple-camera system lead by a 64 megapixels main camera. This will be assisted by a 12 megapixels ultra-wide unit with Gimbal-style stabilization system as well as an 8 megapixels periscope telephoto lens which is capable of achieving up to 60x Hyper Zoom.

Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 18 Premier is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 chipset which is coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. On the software-side, the phone will boot on it’s custom HiOS based on Android 11 out of the box.

To keep it’s lights on, the Tecno Camon 18 Premier relies on a respectable 4,750mAh battery that carries support for 33W fast-charging which is able to deliver a full charge in around an hour. Other than that, it’s also worth noting that the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as NFC support.
