Last week, a mysterious OPPO smartphone with a PEYM00 model number was spotted with high-end specs at TENAA. Now, a new device with PECM20 has received approval from the Chinese certification platform. The TENAA listing has revealed all the important specs of the device.
The listing reveals that the OPPO PECM20 has a 6.5-inch display that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution. Since the TENAA has no images of the device, it is unclear whether it features a punch-hole or a teardrop notch.
The handset is powered by an unknown 2.0GHz octa-core processor that supports 5G connectivity. China may receive the handset in RAM variants such as 4 GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB RAM. All three variants may offer users with a native storage of 128 GB. It will lack support for external storage.
For snapping selfies, the PECM20 will offer an 8-megapixel front camera. Its rear camera setup will include a 16-megapixel primary camera and a pair of 2-megapixel auxiliary cameras.
The PECM20 handset will come preloaded with Android 11 OS. It has a fingerprint scanner, but it is yet to be confirmed whether it is present on its rear shell or integrated with the power key. The device measures 162.2 x 75 x 7.9mm and weighs 175 grams. It is expected to arrive in three colors such as black/white, purple/silver, and red in the home market.
There is no word on the final marketing name of the PECM20. Apart from PECM20 and PEYM00 smartphones, the company is also rumored to be working for its first Dimensity 810 powered smartphone for China.
