In his latest Weibo post, OPPO’s VP Brian Shen has teased that the company is prepping a new Reno smartphone which will pack a 90Hz display. This smartphone however, will not be unveiled during their upcoming September 10th launch event in China.
Currently, most of the flagship devices across major smartphone makers including Samsung and Huawei only have 60Hz refresh rate for their screen. The OnePlus 7 Pro is one of the few exceptions which arrive with a 90Hz display. Most other devices which comes with such display are usually gaming-centric smartphones like the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 3S which will be announced on September 5th.
Besides having an incredible refresh rate for it’s display, this mysterious Reno smartphone is also touted to arrive with OPPO’s SuperVOOC flash charge technology capable of charging from 1% to 100% in just 35 minutes.
With all these premium features under the hood, it is pretty obvious that the device we’re talking here is likely to be OPPO’s next flagship device. Many reports believe that the device could be the successor to the current OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.
