Upcoming Snapdragon 865 Plus allegedly spotted on AnTuTu with impressive score

Back in July last year, Qualcomm unleashed a “Plus” version of the late 2018’s Snapdragon 855 flagship SoC. Since we are now weeks away from the month of July, speculations about the possible launch of Snapdragon 865 Plus next month were beginning to be reignited.

Alleged Snapdragon 865 Plus Benchmark

Now, an alleged benchmark result of the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC had been spotted on AnTuTu with an outlandish score of 667,253 points. Most specifically, the chip had performed incredibly well for its CPU and GPU performance tests.

In contrast, the current best performing flagship phone – OPPO Find X2 Pro – which currently tops the chart, only has a score of 604,123 points.

Although Meizu’s CMO had previously played down the possibility of having an upgraded Snapdragon 865 SoC this year, but recent report out of China had hinted that the upcoming Lenovo Legion smartphone could be arriving with this SoC.

That being said, there remains a likelihood that the aforementioned benchmark score is a work of Photoshop – so take it as a pinch of salt.
