At the end of the last month, Vivo had launched the Vivo V17 smartphone in Russia. It was a rebranded version of the Vivo VS1 Pro that had hit the Southeast Asian markets and as Vivo Y9s in China. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has launched the Vivo V17 phone in India. This phone is different from the one that was unveiled in Russia. The Indian Vivo V17 has a different front and rear design and also it is equipped with a more powerful processor.
Vivo V17 Specifications and Features
The Vivo V17 smartphone has a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution. The display of the phone features a punch-hole at the top-right corner. The phone supports 20:9 aspect ratio and delivers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.38 percent. The Snapdragon 675 AIE mobile platform fuels the smartphone along with 8 GB of RAM. The device has a native storage of 128 GB and there is a microSD card slot for additional storage.
The FunTouch OS 9.2 UI based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the Vivo V17. The quad camera setup that is placed inside a rectangular camera module has a 48-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with 120-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. For capturing selfies, it has a front camera of 32-megapixel.
The Vivo V17 has a 4,500mAh battery. It carries support for 18W dual-engine fast charging through USB-C. The usual connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack are also available on the Vivo V17.
Vivo V17 Price and Release Date
The Vivo V17 smartphone is priced at Rs. 22,990 ($323) in India. The sales of the phone will start on Dec. 17 and it will be available in colors like Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice
