Vivo V50 key specifications, design officially confirmed

Vivo has started teasing the arrival of the Vivo V50 in India, hinting at an upcoming launch. With a dedicated microsite now live, several key features of the phone have been confirmed. Here’s a look at the details confirmed by the brand before its launch.

The Vivo V50 features a stylish aesthetic, with three colour variants: Rose Red, Titanium Grey, and Starry Blue. The Starry Blue edition introduces India’s first 3D-Star Technology, creating a dynamic shimmering effect under different lighting conditions.

3The phone sports an ultra-slim build, with thickness varying between 7.39mm and 7.67mm depending on the variant, making it the slimmest device in India with a 6,000mAh battery.

The design also includes an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability. On the front, it features a quad-curved display flanked by ultra-slim bezels measuring just 1. 86mm. The screen will be protected by Schotts’ Diamond Glass Shield protection.

The Vivo V50 will run on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The device will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery despite featuring a slim chassis.

Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an autofocus-enabled 50-megapixel front camera. Additional camera features include ZEISS portrait styles, multi-focus portrait mode, and AI-powered enhancements such as Studio Light Portrait.

As per reports, the V50 will feature 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It may come with up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and support 90W fast charging.

The Vivo V50 is expected to launch in India around Feb. 18. While official pricing is yet to be announced, reports suggest it will be positioned under Rs 40,000 ($460).
