Realme unveiled the Realme GT 7 Pro, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, in November 2024 in China and global markets. Recently, a new Realme phone with model number RMX5090, featuring specifications similar to the GT 7 Pro, was spotted in the database of China’s TENAA certification platform. New developments reveal that it could be one of the first Realme phones to hit the Chinese market after the ongoing Chinese New Year holidays. In all likelihood, the device will be called the Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition, and not Realme GT 7 as some reports have claimed.
Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition incoming
According to Realme Vice President, President of Global Marketing, and President of China, Chase Xu, the company is gearing up to launch a new flagship phone targeted at young gamers, focusing on extreme performance, battery life, and gaming experience rather than camera capabilities. He added that following the success of the GT 7 Pro, which received widespread praise, Realme gathered feedback from users who wanted a more performance-centric device without compromises.

Unfortunately, Xu did not reveal the device’s name, but he hinted that “racing” would be part of its moniker. With the Chinese New Year holidays ending soon, the phone is likely to launch soon. According to tipster WHY LAB, it may debut next week as a strong competitor to the iQOO Neo 10 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. He further claimed that the device will be called the Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition.
Realme is also expected to launch the Realme Neo 7 SE this month in China. Likely, the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition may break cover alongside the Neo 7 SE.
Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition (rumored)

The Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is expected to pack the same specs as the Realme GT 7 Pro. However, the TENAA listing of the device reveals that it will lack a periscope telephoto camera. Since the Racing Edition includes only two cameras instead of a triple camera setup, it features a redesigned rear camera module.
