In April, Vivo may hold a mega launch event to announce multiple devices in China. Rumors have claimed that the Vivo Pad 2, Vivo X Fold, and Vivo X Flip will be unveiled in the coming month. Ahead of the expected launch, the Vivo X Flip, which has the V2256A model number, has been approved by the 3C authority of China.
The Vivo X Flip may come with a 44W charger, according to the 3C listing. The listing also confirms that the device will support 5G connectivity.
The same device was seen on Geekbench recently. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and 12 GB of RAM will power the device, according to numerous listings that appeared on the benchmarking platform. It was further revealed that the device will run on Android 13, which is expected to be overlaid with OriginOS 3.
Other reports have revealed that the Vivo X Flip will house an inner foldable screen of 6.8 inches. It will offer a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to have a square-shaped secondary screen on the back, but its exact size is not known yet.
The SoC is likely to be accompanied by 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. When it comes to storage, the flip phone is expected to offer up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 chips. It may come equipped with a 4,400mAh battery. For selfies, it may arrive with a 32-megapixel camera on the front. It may feature a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system on the back.
