Dimensity 9500, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship phones to launch in September this year

Qualcomm recently confirmed that the 2025 Snapdragon Summit will be held between September 23 and 25. It’s likely that the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip may debut through that platform. It is speculated that the Xiaomi 16 series, featuring the new chip, may debut by the end of September 2025.
According to DCS, MediaTek’s flagship offering, the Dimensity 9500, may debut earlier than the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. So far, the Vivo X300 series and the Oppo Find X9 lineup are expected to feature the new chip. Therefore, it appears that these devices will debut in September before the Snapdragon-powered Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro.
The Vivo X300 lineup is expected to include two models: the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, whereas the Find X9 lineup may comprise the Find X9, X9+, and X9 Pro. Rumors suggest that the Honor Magic 8 series with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 onboard may also debut by September end. The lineup is expected to include the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro.
Traditionally, Apple has been launching its new iPhone series in September. This year, the iPhone 17 lineup will debut in the said month across the world. In China, the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to face competition from multiple brands like Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, and Honor.
