Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X60 series of smartphones on Dec. 28 in China. Ahead of the launch, a couple of renders of the X60 models have appeared to showcase its rear design. Also, a new leak has revealed the camera capabilities of the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro handsets.
The render released by Vivo yesterday had revealed that the X60 series will sport a camera module similar to the Vivo X50 series. One handset was seen with a triple camera system, whereas the other one had a quad camera setup.
According to the new leak, the Vivo X60’s triple-camera system will be led by a 48-megapixel main camera and it will be coupled with a 13-megapixel superwide lens and a 13-megapixel portrait camera. The official renders show that the Vivo X60 Pro has an additional squarish camera.
The leak further mentions that the Vivo X60 Pro also features a 48-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel super-wide lens, and a 13-megapixel portrait sensor. The additional lens is an 8-megapixel periscope zoom lens.
The main camera on both phones features the second-generation micro-gimbal powered by ZEISS optics. As compared to the predecessor, the main lens now comes with an aperture rating of f/1.48 instead of f/1.6. The periscope telephoto lens supports 5x optical zoom and a 60x digital zoom.
The Vivo X60 series also includes the more powerful Vivo X60 Pro+. Its camera specs have not appeared yet. The same tipster had mentioned earlier today that the Pro Plus model will have a top-center punch-hole display like the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro. About the rear cameras, he only mentioned that the cameras will be arranged in an L-pattern. It could be fueled by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and it may arrive in a leather back edition.
