Vivo X60 Series May Debut on December 28

Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X60 series of smartphones this month in China. It will be arriving as the successor to the Vivo X50 series that debuted a few months back. According to a known Chinese tipster, the Vivo X60 series may break cover on Dec. 28.

The lineup reportedly includes three phones such as the Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+. It is speculated that the Vivo models such as V2059A, V2074A, and V2064A that were recently certified by the 3C authority of China could be the Vivo X60 trio.

The Vivo X60 series will be the world’s first smartphones to feature the Exynos 1080 chipset. The tipster claimed that these phones will Samsung displays with top-center punch-hole cutouts and they will carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate.

The 3C listings of the above mentioned Vivo phones revealed that they may arrive with support for 33W fast charging. The images of the X60 that appeared in the last week revealed that it will continue to sport a rectangle-shaped camera module like the predecessor model. At present, there is no clear information available on the specs of the X60 series smartphones.

The Exynos is a 5nm chip designed for upper mid-range phones. However, AnTuTu benchmarks of the chip that surfaced in the last month revealed that the SoC can deliver flagship-like performance. The benchmarks of an engineering unit powered by the Exynos 1080 revealed the presence of spec like FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This phone may break cover as the Vivo X60 series smartphone.
