Vivo has officially announced a new mid-ranger smartphone known as the Vivo Y51 in the Indonesian market. Although this device bears the same moniker as the one that was launched in Pakistan back in September, but its a largely different device with a brand new design at the back.
For starter, the Vivo Y51 is built around a 6.58-inches IPS LCD display that boasts a FHD+ screen resolution and employs a typical dewdrop-notch to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Over at the back, the Vivo Y51 features a Vivo X50-like camera housing that brings along a total of three cameras including 48 megapixels (f/1.79 aperture) primary shooter, 8 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y51 is powered by a modest Snapdragon 665 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. As usual, its storage capacity can also be further expanded via a microSD card.
Keeping its lights on will be a huge 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support that’s capable of supporting long hours of usage. On the software-side, it will be shipped with the latest FuntouchOS 11 based on Android 11 OS.
Last but not the least, there’ll also be a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Color options for the Vivo Y51 include Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony.
