Xiaomi launches new 4GB+128GB variant for the Redmi 9C

When Xiaomi first announced the Redmi 9C budget-friendly smartphone, the device only comes with 32GB/ 64GB storage options. Right now, the company has introduced a new variant with 128GB storage that will be paired with 4GB RAM in the memory department. The new variant will go on sale in the Malaysian market starting August 3rd, at an affordable price of just RM499 (US$118).

As a quick recap, the Redmi 9C offers a sleek-looking design packed with some really attractive features. The device is built around a 6.53-inches HD+ dewdrop-notch display accompanied by a 5 megapixels selfie camera.

On its rear, it has a unique squarish housing which play host to a triple-camera system comprising of a 13 megapixels primary shooter alongside a pair of 2 megapixels macro camera and 2 megapixels depth helper.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, and is fitted with huge 5,000mAh battery to survive through the day. On the software-side, the phone is shipped with MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
