The Xiaomi Mi 6 is the first Mi series flagship phone to come with dual rear cameras and currently it stands as the most powerful Xiaomi phone as it driven by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. It was introduced on April 19 in China and it will start shipping in the country from April 28.
India is very good market for Xiaomi phones. In the recent years, the company is mainly focused on selling budget-friendly phones instead of selling premium smartphones in the country. The Redmi Note 4, Note 3, Redmi 4A, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are highly popular in the country. However, its 2016 flagship phone, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is not so popular as these phones in India. From the point of view of smartphone sales, Xiaomi is presently on the second position in India.
According to an India Today, Xiaomi Mi 6 will not be launching in India. Instead, it will be releasing some other “high-end” smartphone to the country. Also, a spokesperson from Xiaomi has told BGR India that, “Mi 6 is coming to select global markets at a later date but we have no intimation of India date or availability as of now.”
