Xiaomi has scheduled to announce the Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi Mix 4 5G on September 24th later this month. Apparently, the Chinese smartphone maker has kicked off their “registration of interests” campaign on JD.com for the Mi 9 Pro 5G in China.
For those who do not know, this is a common practice in China whereby interested parties will need to register their interest beforehand in order to take part in the debut sale. To some extent, this allows smartphone makers to gauge if there are enough stocks in their inventory to meet the demand.
Along with the registration listing of the Mi 9 Pro 5G, Xiaomi has also listed an official render of the device which shows off the White variant of the device. Although not really obvious on the render, but we do expect the Mi 9 Pro to feature some sort of color-changing back panel, whose color sway and move along with the light. The actual name of this color option however, has yet to be officially revealed by Xiaomi.
Besides having a brand new color option which we have yet to see on the current Mi 9 lineup, the Mi 9 Pro will also be driven by the latest Snapdragon 855+ SoC out of the box. The device will also support Xiaomi’s latest 30W Mi Charge Turbo, wireless charging.
