In October 2016, Xiaomi had released the Xiaomi MI MIX flagship phone with a unique tri-bezeless design. It was driven by Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had said earlier this year that Phillippe Starck, a Fresh designer who designed the Xiaomi Mi MIX phone would be also designing its successor. Hence, the tech world is eagerly waiting to see the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 that is pegged to arrive later this year. On July 2, an improved version of the Mi MIX featuring the Snapdragon 835 chipset has appeared.
As it can be seen above, the smartphone labeled as Xiaomi MIX that has appeared on Geekbench could be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 as it features the Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is also running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the Xiaomi MI MIX 2 has scored 1,929 and 6,431 points.
The Geekbench listing of the alleged Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 suggests that the Chinese firm could be testing the upcoming flagship. It is speculated to debut with Xiaomi Mi Note 3 in October this year.
