It’s been quite some time since we’d been hearing about Xiaomi’s upcoming high-end tablet known as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 which was recently certified by several regulatory bodies. Although the device was previously thought to be launched during Xiaomi’s mega launch event on March 29th, but that didn’t happened eventually.
Now, Redmi’s product director Thomas has revealed through his comments on Weibo that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will not arrive this month, and will only debut during the second-halve of the year. This means that the earliest we can expect to see the Mi Pad 5’s launch is July, which is still around two months from now.
From what we’d learned so far, the Mi Pad 5 series will be available in two different flavors including Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro. These tablets are said to be powered by Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 1200 chipsets respectively. Above that, the Mi Pad 5 Pro is also tipped to feature a 2K screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as 240Hz touch sampling rate.
