Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 reaches 10,000 sales mark in Korea within a month

Last month, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 became the first Xiaomi’s smartphone to arrive at South Korean mobile carriers including SK Telecom and KT (Korea Telecom). Right now, the Redmi Note 5 has also achieved its first-ever milestone by reaching the 10,000 sales mark in South Korea earlier today.

Although the 10,000 sales figure doesn’t seem really significant, but bear in mind that the South Korean smartphone market consists of 86% South Korea manufactured smartphone and just a mere 1% Chinese-made smartphone. Therefore, taking this into account along with the fact that the 10,000 mark was achieved in just a month, this is really a pretty impressive result for Xiaomi so far.

In case you do not know, the Redmi Note 5 is in fact the third smartphone currently available in the Korean market. The other two smartphones namely the Xiaomi Mi A1 and Xiaomi Mi Mix although are available in the market, but are not available through their local mobile carriers.
