Xiaomi Redmi Y3 Geekbench Benchmarks Reveal CPU and RAM

The Redmi Y3 will be made official in India on April 24. The selfie-centric smartphone will be arriving as the successor for the Snapdragon 625 powered Redmi Y2 smartphone from last year. Rumors have claimed that the Redmi Y3 will be featuring the Snapdragon 632 handset. However, the appearance of Redmi Y3 on Geekbench reveals that it could be featuring the same SoC that powered the predecessor model.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 that is powered Snapdragon 625 has scored 1236 in single-core and 4213 in multi-core tests of Geekbench. The SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and the device is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The base frequency of 1.80 GHz mentioned on Geekbench listing matches with Snapdragon 632. Hence, there is a possibility that the phone may actually arrive with Snapdragon 632 SoC.

The USP of the Redmi Y3 will be that it will be arriving with an AI powered 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The device will include a 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone will be equipped with a waterdrop-style notched display like the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro smartphones. However, instead of full HD+ resolution, the handset deliver only HD+ resolution. Also, the smartphone is expected to arrive in attractive gradient color options.
