Xiaomi sold out 90,000 Redmi 3S Prime within 8 minutes

A few days ago, we reported that the Redmi 3S Prime officially went on sale in India via mi.com and Flipkart. Today, Xiaomi India head Manu Jain has proudly announced on his Twitter account that the company had managed to sell out all the 90,000 available units in just 8 minutes. This is so far one of the greatest achievement ever attained by Xiaomi India apart from its flagship devices like the Mi5.

Surely, this is also the first time Xiaomi went on a launch sales without having the need for consumers to register before hand. According to Manu, the next sale of the Redmi 3S Prime will commence again on August 17 and the company is expected to begin selling the cheaper Redmi 3S on the same day as well. In case you do not know, the 2GB Redmi 3S come with a price tag of just INR6,999 (~$105), while the 3GB Redmi 3S Prime cost INR8,999 (~$135).

Hopefully, Xiaomi will be able to stock up sufficiently for the next sales to prevent further disappointment to their fans next time round.
