On Feb. 25, Xiaomi had confirmed through a Weibo post that it will be launching the Mi MIX 2S smartphone on March 27. The Weibo post had carried an image that revealed its prowess through its AnTuTu score and it had also confirmed that the phone is powered by Snapdragon 845. Earlier today, Xiaomi released a new teaser video on Weibo which contains a question, “how fast your Snapdragon 845 is?” This suggests that even though the Mi MIX 2S will be powered by the same Snapdragon 845 that powers other flagship phones of this year, it will be able to deliver better performance.
In September, some reports had claimed that Xiaomi and Qualcomm were working on improving the performance of SD845 chipset. This suggests that compared to other phones like Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Sony Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact and Asus ZenFone 5Z flagships that are fueled by the same SoC, the Mi MIX 2S will offer stellar performance. Xiaomi has officially confirmed that Mi MIX 2S has recorded an average benchmarking score of 273,341 on AnTuTu.
Previous leaks have revealed that the Snapdragon 845 SoC on Mi MIX 2S will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It is also pegged to feature a 6.01-inch display with in-screen fingerprint sensor.
