Following the success of last year’s Vivo V27 series smartphones, Vivo is now back with the launch of the first V29 series smartphone – Vivo V29 5G – in the global market. The new model features a minor facelift along with subtle changes to the overall hardware specs.
Starting with the front side, the new Vivo V29 5G builds around a 6.78” AMOLED display with QHD (2,800 x 1,260) pixels screen resolution and a fast 120Hz refresh rate for a sharp and smooth visual experience. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has an impressive 50 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a centered punch-hole cutout.
At the back, the V29 5G sports a rectangular camera island which houses a triple-camera setup alongside a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. The three cameras at the back include a 50 megapixels main camera with OIS stabilization, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as a 2 megapixels monochrome lens.
Under the hood, the Vivo V29 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset which will be paired up with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Just like any other recent Vivo smartphones, the V29 5G will be shipped with FuntouchOS 13 based on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 4,600mAh battery which carries support for 80W fast wired charging that’s capable of recharging the phone from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 17 minutes. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colorways such as Noble Black and Peak Blue.
Although Vivo has yet to announce the official pricing and availability of the V29 5G, but it did confirmed that the phone will eventually be available for purchase in 39 markets, including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Turkey, Mexico and selected European markets.
